In the morning, before leaving for the north, there will be the opportunity to embark for the exciting approach in the water with mask and fins of the huge and harmless whale sharks that frequent the bay of La Paz in abundance during the winter. Continuation towards Loreto, the ancient capital of Southern Baja California, renowned for the foundation of the first mission of the peninsula, the intimate atmosphere and the wide bay that constitutes an important Marine Park inhabited by whales, manta rays, dolphins and whales . After crossing flat desert landscapes, we will enter the granite gorges of the imposing Sierra della Giganta to descend again towards the Sea of Cortez. Arrival in Loreto and accommodation in a small and characteristic posada near the historic center (Posada del Cortes or similar). Alternatively, you can embark on a whale watching trip focused on meeting the Blue Whales, the largest living species on the planet that can reach up to 30 meters in length.
Once back on land, through a rocky canyon you can reach 500 meters of altitude by car where in a unique natural setting at the end of the 1600s a missionary from Palermo built a beautiful mission.
