Day 1: Mexico City
Arrival at Mexico City international airport and transfer to the Premier hotel or similar. Overnight.
Day 2: Mexico City
Full day dedicated to visiting the city and the archaeological center of Teotihuacan. The visit of the "Zocalo" (the main square with the Cathedral and the National Palace), the Templo Mayor, the Basílica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, patroness of Mexico and Major pilgrimage center of Latin America are scheduled. At the end you will visit Teotihuacan with the imposing Pyramids of the Sun and Moon. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon.
Day 3: Mexico City - Puebla - Oaxaca
Departure by bus to Puebla and visit this beautiful colonial city, famous for its Baroque churches and local ceramics. At the end continuation to Oaxaca. Overnight at the Oaxaca Real hotel or similar.
Day 4: Oaxaca
Full day dedicated to visiting the surroundings of the city, starting with Mitla, an ancient Mixteco center, with a stop at the "Tule", an imposing tree considered the oldest in the world. In the afternoon continue to Monte Alban, the religious capital of the Zapotec people. Built on a level hill, it is rich in pyramids, tombs, in a beautiful panoramic position. Return to Oaxaca in the afternoon and overnight.
Day 5: Oaxaca - Tuxtla Gutierrez
Free time to deeper your knowledge of the beautiful city of Oaxaca. In the afternoon departure by night bus to Tuxtla Gutierrez.
Day 6: Tuxtla Gutierrez - San Cristóbal de las Casas
Arrival in the morning in Tuxtla Gutierrez, capital of the state of Chiapas. Transfer to Chiapa de Corzo to visit the impressive Sumidero Canyon by boats. Continue to San Cristobal de las Casas, arrival and overnight at the Mansion de los Angeles hotel or similar.
Day 7: San Cristóbal de las Casas
Visit to the indigenous communities of San Juan Chamula and Zinacantan, located a few kilometers from San Cristóbal. It is also possible to visit the city, the local market, where it is possible to admire the craftsmanship of the local natives, and the famous churches, among which the Baroque Santo Domingo stands out.
Day 8: San Cristóbal de las Casas - Palenque
Today we will descend from the Chiapas mountains, crossing green valleys. Expected stop at the Agua Azu waterfalls. Arrival in Palenque and accommodation in the Plaza Hotel or similar.
Day 9: Palenque - Campeche
The whole morning is dedicated to visiting the archaeological area of Palenque, still half hidden in the tropical jungle and full of charm and unique Pyramids. Departure for Campeche. Upon arrival, a short visit to the ancient city is planned, still enclosed and fortified with towers and walls and which retains a strong colonial flavor. At the end, accommodation at the Castelmar Hotel or similar.
Day 10: Campeche - Merida
Today's first stop scheduled in the archaeological area of Uxmal, one of the most important testimonies of the Mayan civilization. In the afternoon we will arrive in Merida, the capital of the state of Yucatán, the "white city", so called for its colonial buildings. There will be a stop at the "zocalo" to visit the Cathedral, the Gobernó Palace, the Municipal Palace and the Montejo House. Overnight accommodation is provided at the Dolores Alba hotel or similar.
Day 11: Merida - Cancun
Departure for Cancún with a stop halfway to visit Chichen Itza, perhaps the best known of the Mayan archaeological areas, with the famous Pirámide of Kukulkan. Arrival in Cancún in the late afternoon and accommodation in the Colonial hotel or similar.
Day 12: Cancún
Transfer to the airport and end of services.
IMPORTANT: The visits mentioned in the program are only a guide, the group may decide whether or not to continue this program. Transfers for the different visits are not included in the price, participants will decide with the guide if they should transfer by public transport, taxi or other.
